The newly renovated Kitchen Bar Restaurant (formerly Alexander’s) is owned and operated by the Makris family. Our family has been in the restaurant business in the greater Philadelphia area for over 28 years.  Our well-known hospitality was introduced at the Oak Lane Diner in Philadelphia . Then came Alexander’s in Abington and, most recently, The Drake Tavern in Jenkintown.

Kitchen Bar restaurant and bar is located in Abington on the same property as the former Alexander’s Family Restaurant where the Makris family has been serving our guests for 18 years. Every member of our family takes great pride in the cuisine that we serve to our guests. We make all of our entrees from our own exclusive recipes using only fresh and wholesome ingredients.

Every member of our staff at Kitchen Bar has been trained to treat every patron as a guest of the Makris family. Most of the time, you’ll find Steve, Ted or Bob on hand chatting with patrons while we keep an eye on the kitchen to make certain that every guest is served a wholesome and delicious meal.

Kitchen bar is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night drinks.  Our huge menu includes everything from appetizers, sandwiches, salads and pizza to full course dinners of meat, chicken, fish and more. Our goal is to provide a wholesome and delicious meal to satisfy any appetite at any meal.

Kitchen bar also features a brand new bar and lounge with live entertainment every weekend. In addition, we offer a newly renovated private banquet room that will accommodate from 20 to 70 people for parties and meetings. The room is an ideal setting for bridal showers, christenings, birthday parties, baby showers, business meetings, or any other special occasion.
