Pumpkin Pie Recipe from Scratch

Ingredients:

For Crust
 Flour (1 1/3 cups)
 Salt (1/2 Tsp)
 Cubed Butter (1 cup)
 Cold Water (3 ½ tablespoons)
For Filling
 Fresh Pumpkin (1 ½ pounds)
 Evaporated Milk (1 Cann)
 Eggs (2)
 Brown Sugar (3/4 Cup)
 Cinnamon (1/2 Tsp) Ground
 Ginger (1/2 Tsp) Ground
 Nutmeg (1/2 Tsp) Ground
 Salt (1/2 Tsp)

Directions:

Step 1: Mashed Pumpkin

Cut the pumpkin into pieces

Remove all the seeds and a stringy portion of pumpkin

Take a skillet and pour water in it

4

Place skillet with water over medium heat

5

Put all chucks of pumpkin in the water for 45 minutes

Step 2: Pie Crust

Take a bowl and put flour in it

Add salt in it and mix well

Now put cubed butter in flour and stir well until all the ingredients combine well

Now put iced water so that flour gets moistened

Make sure that flour can hold together

Turn the mixture into a round shape (Dough)

Put this round shaped dough into a glass pie dish

Shape the dough according to your desire

Step 3: Filling

Take out the boiled pumpkin from skillet and mash finely (after peeling every chunk of boiled pumpkin)

After getting cool the mashed pumpkin, add evaporated milk in it

Then add eggs and remaining ingredients like; Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, ginger, nutmeg, and salt

Stir well and mix all the ingredients well. Try to use an electric mixer for mixing all the ingredients

Now Just pour all the mixture into the already prepared crust (glass pie dish)
